Jake was born in Charleston, South Carolina. He is a Camera/Steadicam Operator by trade, but he is also an avid Surfer, Kiteboarder, and water/boardsport/extreme sport enthusiast. Father to Seren Butler and husband to Shannon Butler.

Yeison Powell (Caretaker)
Yeison is a Basti local who grew up just a few minutes walk from Casa Serenity By The Sea. He lives on property in the middle cabina (Sea Glass) and can help impart local knowledge or give assistance for scheduling boat tours or carrying luggage. (Please keep this to a minimum. You should come with the mindset of bringing only what YOU can carry to Basti!)
